Day 5: Preparing for Breakthrough
“As they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said…” — Acts 13:2
Breakthrough doesn’t usually happen by accident—it happens in seasons of preparation. In Acts 13, the church was praying and fasting when the Holy Spirit spoke clearly and released direction that changed history.
Prayer and fasting don’t twist God’s arm. They tune our hearts. They slow us down long enough to hear what God has already been saying.
Many people want breakthrough without preparation. But God often works before we see anything change. When we fast and pray, we’re saying, “God, I’m available. I’m listening. I’m ready.”
This season isn’t just about what God will do for you—it’s about what He wants to do in you.
Ask God today what He’s preparing you for. Stay open. Stay humble. Stay expectant.
Take a moment to reflect:
Where do you sense God may be preparing you for something new or deeper?
